about zac and bethany…
Sometimes it can be a difficult process finding out what you’re called to do in this world. For us it took a little bit of time but when we found it, it pulled us right in! When you feel love, for what some people might call work, you go for it.
Zac’s zeal for anything cinematically related was where it all started. He knew “filming” would be somewhere his career but just didn’t know how and when. In 2013, it was time to make a change for our family, so we put our trust in God that we would be led in the right direction. It was more than clear at that time that Zac’s passion for filmmaking could no longer go untapped and wedding cinematography was the outlet!
Bethany’s heart and soul were also always in the visual arts. Although previously dabbling in the world of photography, her artistic mindset brought her to the luxury salon industry. For 11 years her passion for people and creating, made her career effortless and successful. This desire to serve people at the highest level easily transferred as her calling shifted while working with Zac over the years. Her overall interest in the entire process of filmmaking was inherently there from the beginning of Current Films. In 2016, Bethany officially joined Zac full time to complete our brand and we couldn’t be happier with our decision.
In our “downtime” you can find us hanging with our kiddos, Bennett, Briar and Selah, or getting ourselves into some DIY project around the house. In 2021 we made the move from San Diego to Florida to be able to spend more time with our extended family. We live for seeing the world, new adventures and believe in doing so spontaneously. What we don’t believe in is taking ourselves too seriously and we appreciate humor, and are grateful to be surrounded by some amazing friends and family that offer us some serious comic relief.
Current Films is not just a job to us, it’s a blessing. We feel so lucky to have the opportunity to travel the world, meet amazing people, share happiness, and be able to produce something completely original just for you.
